Before getting started, your aesthetician will use a topical anesthetic to reduce the chances of pain.

Before treatment, your provider will first cleanse your skin and apply a topical numbing cream to help mitigate pain. Once you’re numb, they’ll begin pressing the handheld device into your skin, stamping it across the entire face. As the microneedles puncture your skin, they emit RF energy as heat, directly delivering it into your skin.

The microneedling process takes about 30 minutes. After the treatment is complete, your aesthetician may apply a calming serum to your skin. The patient may experience a sunburn-like effect for a day or so.

Microneedling uses a device to create thousands of microchannels in the skin with tiny, sterilized needles. This process jumpstarts your body’s natural wound healing mechanism, stimulating collagen and elastin production, which rejuvenates your skin from the inside out. 
Micro-needling can significantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, traumatic scars, and stretch marks. 
The Microneedling device is suitable for use on all body parts, including the: face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen, and back. 
Initially, your skincare professional will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the skin and ensure a comfortable and painless treatment. Then, a thin layer of topical gel such as hyaluronic acid or PRP (Platelet-Rich-Plasma) is applied to the skin. Next, the device is gently pressed against the skin, gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.
The prep and numbing process takes about 30 minutes, and the procedure itself takes about 30 minutes.
Right after treatment, your skin will have a bright redness to it. The healing time depends on the device setting used and the number of overlapping passes your skincare professional performs. On average, patients are red for 2 to 4 days. However, most individuals heal completely in as little as 24 hours.
The first thing patients notice is an immediate glow to their skin. Additional changes will be noticeable to the skin over several days and weeks. Over the next six months, additional results can be seen as collagen production continues.
It is recommended that patients receive 3-4 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. If patients have deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks, or deep acne scars, it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions with a 6-week interval between each treatment. For maintenance, we recommend at least one treatment per year.

Fractional Ablative Radiofrequency (RF)

Fractional Radiofrequency Skin Resurfacing (V-FR) by Viora is an innovative, non-surgical skin resurfacing treatment that leaves patients looking rejuvenated, with more youthful-looking skin with minimal downtime. This minimally invasive procedure delivers a bipolar RF current that creates micro-injuries. This process stimulates wound healing processes which lead to dermal remodeling. The result is smoother skin, more even skin tone, smoothing of lines and wrinkles, reduced pigmentation, and minimizing the appearance of scars. There is minimal downtime with Fractional Radiofrequency Skin Resurfacing compared to other ablative laser resurfacing treatments. V-FR is safe and effective in treating various skin concerns, including acne scarring, stretch marks, enlarged pores, skin dullness, texture improvement, and fine lines and wrinkles. A consultation and test spot are required before treatment.

The aesthetician will apply an anesthetic to the treatment area before the V-FR procedure. You will feel tiny pinpricks on your skin during the process, followed by a heat sensation. Upon completing the treatment, your skin will feel warm, like a sunburn.
  • After the V-FR session, your skin will feel warm and look red for about 24 hours.
  • You may experience minor swelling and discomfort. 
  • You can go back to your skincare and makeup routine the next day.
  • IMPORTANT: Sun exposure is to be avoided during the healing period, and patients should wear SPF 40 or higher sunscreen and a large brim hat outside throughout the recovery period.
Most clients are recommended to have at least three treatments in intervals of approximately six weeks. 
  • Avoid chemical peels, dermabrasion, or other resurfacing treatments three weeks before the procedure.
  • Do not suntan; use a tanning bed or topical tanning creams two weeks before the procedure. 
  • Avoid any use of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs, such as Ibuprofen, Advil, and Motrin) seven days before and seven days after every treatment. 
Typically, people considering Microneedling or Fractional Radiofrequency Skin Resurfacing are also candidates for other treatments, such as Botox for wrinkle relaxation, dermal filler injections for youthful face proportions, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments for skin discoloration. To maximize your treatment results, Skinetic Aesthetics always recommends that our clients are proactive in all parts of their skincare regimen. We recommended a medical-grade skincare program as well as a daily broadband sunscreen.
